Ceramics: Handbuilding Soap Bottles (5 sessions)

This fun introductory ceramics course is designed to teach the two primary methods of handbuilding, slab building and coiling. Students will choose which method they would like to utilize for their project, making a custom ceramic soap bottle! Soap bottle toppers will be provided. A great course to make something functional, creative and personalized! Surface decoration will be encouraged through handbuilt additions and the use of various tools. Students will be encouraged to think of different forms for functionality. Students will learn proper glazing techniques toward the end of the course, so that they may take their wonderful finished piece home!
