Withdrawal Policy

Tuition is refundable, minus a MAC $15 processing fee and taxes, for all classes, workshops, and camps dropped more than 7 days prior to the session start date. If you withdraw between 7 days and 48 hours before the first meeting, you will receive a McConnell Arts Center credit, which can be used for future classes, workshops, or camps. ACTIVE processing fees and taxes are non-refundable. Please review the details carefully when enrolling through the ACTIVE platform.*

The McConnell Arts Center will not issue refunds or credit for classes within 48 hours of the first meeting. An exception will be made in cases of a documented medical emergency with a physician’s note.

*The MAC's enrollment platform, ACTIVE Works Camp & Class Manager, offers two subscription services: Active Refund and Active Advantage. These services are optional and are not necessary for enrollment. Please contact the MAC's Education Team for further information or questions regarding these services prior to purchase. If you have previously paid for these services, you can redeem your benefits through the ACTIVE support team (support@active.com).

Payment Plans

The MAC is now offering a payment plan for enrollment in our arts classes with the start of Fall Term 2025. Whether you're signing up for our adult or youth classes or workshops, you can now spread out tuition payments to better fit your budget.

During the registration process, enrollees now have the option to pay 50% of the tuition at time of enrollment, with the remaining 50% tuition due two weeks prior to the start of the term. ACTIVE processing fees and taxes are due with the first class payment and are non-refundable. Please review the details carefully when enrolling through the ACTIVE platform.

Cancellations

Classes are canceled when enrollment minimums are not reached. Students will be notified if classes are canceled and will be eligible for a full refund or class credit. Class credit does not expire and can be used towards any classes, workshops, or camps.

Rescheduling and Make-Up Classes

If the MAC or your instructor must reschedule a class, a make-up class may be added to the end of the session. If a student misses a regularly scheduled class, the class cannot be made-up and the class will not be prorated.

Code of Conduct

MAC Camps and Classes are a place for learning and growth.

The following actions will not be tolerated and students (of any age) that violate this policy will be removed from class and not offered a refund.

  • Physical aggression towards others (this includes touching of any kind, pushing, or hitting another student with any object)

  • Verbal aggression towards others (this includes bullying, unkind words, harmful words, or profanity)

  • Disobeying verbal or written directions and instructions from MAC staff, instructors or camp counselors

  • Destruction of any property that belongs to the MAC, other students or the instructor (this includes defacing property)

It is exclusive right of the MAC staff to remove a student from a class if their behavior is deemed inappropriate.
