Scholarships

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we’re able to offer need-based scholarships that help make our classes, workshops, and summer camps more accessible to families and individuals throughout Central Ohio.

These partial scholarships reduce the cost of participation and open doors for learners of all ages to explore the arts—whether it’s through painting, ceramics, creative writing, or summer camp adventures.

McConnell Arts Center Scholarship: Apply for Fall Term

Applicants who are awarded a scholarship must reply to their results email or enroll in a class within 48 hours of the 'Results Sent' deadline.

The McConnell Arts Center offers tuition assistance for several of our annual class terms. These do not apply to partnered classes with other organizations. (Note: These are partial scholarships. See below for associated fees.)

Application FAQs

Who can apply for this scholarship?
Any individual or family who has financial need and wouldn’t otherwise be able to participate in classes, camps, or workshops at the MAC.

What does the scholarship cover?
Scholarships cover the cost of the class, workshop or camp, with the exception of the contributed fee associated. Scholarships for adult classes do not include supplies. However, if you receive a scholarship and cannot cover the cost of supplies, please let us know.

What programs can I apply for with this application?
This scholarship is available for all currently available MAC classes, workshops, and summer camps. (Excludes partnership classes and camps, i.e., BalletMet, CTO, & UWillDance). If a class you select doesn’t meet its minimum, or if a class is full and has reached its maximum number of students, we will do our best to place you in one of your other selected classes.

How do I apply?
Simply complete the form section of this application and submit it online, or print and return it to the McConnell Arts Center.

Can more than one member of the family apply?
Yes, but only one scholarship per family per fiscal year will be granted (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027).

Do I need to supply financial documentation with my application?
No, families will be asked to write a short narrative describing their need, but do not need to include financial documents.

How will I be notified if I have been awarded a scholarship?
All applicants will be notified by email on the "Results Sent" dates listed above.

When can I use this scholarship?
This scholarship is only usable in the current term, and cannot be used for a different term or class in the future. You are limited to one scholarship per fiscal year.

Why didn’t I receive a scholarship?
The MAC receives many applications and has a limited number of scholarships available. If your application is denied, please reapply for the next term.

Can you use my scholarship to refund me for an active registration?
No, we are unable to use a scholarship code to provide a refund for a current or active registration.

• Half Day Camp (3 hours or less): $25

• Full Day Camp: $50

Youth Classes

• All Youth Classes: $25

• Youth Workshops: variable pricing (often less than $25)

Adult Classes

• 5 week Class: $25

• 7–10 week Class: $50

• All Ceramics Classes: $50
