Joseph Lombardo is an accomplished landscape painter and painting instructor. He received a MFA in painting from Bowling Green State University and studied landscape painting at the Burren College of Art in Ireland. Lombardo earned his BFA with the honor of Valedictorian at the Columbus College of Art and Design. Lombardo has received numerous plein air painting awards. He is a two-time ‘Best in Show’ winner at the Ohio Plein Air Competition. And a two time “Quick Draw” winner in plein air competitions. He participated in Cape Ann Plein Air 2017. Lombardo has served as Artist In Residence at Buffalo National River, Hot Springs National Park, and at the Glen Arbor Art Association. Lombardo has taught plein air painting for 14 years starting in 2008. He teaches painting workshops Internationally including plein air workshops in Tuscany, Italy and San Miguel De Allende, Mexico. Lombardo taught drawing and painting for 11 years as an Instructor at the Columbus College of Art And Design. Lombardo is an Instructor at the Columbus Cultural art Center and The McConnell Art Center in Columbus, Ohio. His work is represented by Art Access Gallery in Columbus, Ohio and at the Center Gallery in Glen Arbor, Michigan.
