"Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play" by Joe Landry
Join us for a delightfully haunting evening of everything "Hitchcock" in this playful romp that transports the audience back to the early days of live radio. Three Alfred Hitchcock stories of intrigue and horror. The Lodger, Sabotage and The 39 Steps come to life in a live 1940s radio broadcast, with five actors playing dozens of characters, live sound effects and musical underscoring.

David Hemsley Caldwell (Director, co-producer) began his professional career casting for the original Broadway production on 42nd Street and for television, theatre and film. He then worked with Bret Adams Ltd. and the Agency for the Performing Arts representing actors, directors designers and writers. David served as Artistic Director at The Gretna Timbers Theater, the Dixie Theatre Foundation and most recently was Producing Artistic Director for the Caledonia Theatre Company at Totem Pole Playhouse. Mr. Caldwell directed countless productions for the Playhouse as well as producing dozens of productions, concerts and special events for Totem Pole throughout his tenure. Caldwell has directed over 100 productions across the country; most recently A Christmas Carol (The Majestic Theater), On Golden Pond (Caledonia Theatre Company) Baskerville (CATCO), The Odd Couple (CFRT) and Oystertown: An Original Evening of Storytelling and Music conceived and written by Mr. Caldwell for the Dixie Theatre Foundation. Regional credits include: Merrimack Rep. Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Milwaukee Rep, Meadow Brook Theatre, Riverside Theater, McCoy Rigby, Downtown Cabaret Theatre, Montana Repertory Theatre, Pennsylvania Stage Company, Allenberry Playhouse, Florida Studio Theater, the The Hula Hut in Waikiki. Past Productions include: The Cake ( Best Play, Best Director Raleigh Broadway World )The Full Monty, Speed the Plow, Kimberly, Akimbo, Mrs. Mannerly, The Fantasticks, Mamma Mia, Hay Fever, Hank Williams - Lost Highway ( DC Metro Award - Best Direction & Musical Direction), Gypsy, The Drowsy Chaperone (2011 Columbus Theatre Critics Awards - Best Musical & Best Direction), Almost Maine, Urinetown, (Columbus Dispatch, Best Musical), Loot, Hello Again, A New Brain (Best Musical-St Louis Riverfront Times), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Pavilion, The Spitfire Grill, Million Dollar Quartet and Bright Star. In addition to directing David is often a visiting artist and Guest Lecturer for the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University and Otterbein University.
