Exhibition Statement:
My textile artworks are deeply intertwined with Persian stories, poetry, songs, and the cultural and historical events that have shaped my life. I reconnect with my literary and artistic heritage through the act of remembering. Working with fabric is more than an artistic process for me; it is a tactile form of healing, emerging, and storytelling. I grew up alongside my mother, who sewed dresses for women and children in our community. I was endlessly inspired by the colorful piles of fabric in our home, and by her ability to transform pieces of cloth into something entirely new. These early impressions remain at the heart of my work today.
I am passionate about connecting cultures through fabric art, exploring how textiles can become a universal language that bridges histories and personal narratives. In my research on the history of fabric and tapestry, I have discovered that the motifs, techniques, and skills found in textile traditions across the world are powerful cultural bridges, linking communities and generations.
