Harry Trombitas was born in Alliance, Ohio, and graduated from The Ohio State University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice and continued his education at Creighton University where he earned a master's degree in counseling and psychology in 1982. After serving as a police officer and public safety director in his career, Harry became an FBI agent in 1983. Assigned to FBI"s Omaha, St. Louis, and New York Divisions before transfer to the Columbus FBI office in December 1991, Trombitas worked predominantly violent crime, including bank robbery, kidnapping, serial murder, homicide, organized crime, crimes against children, criminal profiling, and threat assessment. Trombitas has also held positions as System Vice President of Security Operations at OhioHealth, Director of the Police Executive Leadership College (PELC) for the Ohio Association of the Chiefs of Police, and Sociology Lecturer at The Ohio State University.
