Michael A. Cooley is a national award winning professional artist residing in Central Ohio. He studied drafting in high school, earned a B Sc degree in medical illustration at the Ohio State University an MFA degree in illustration from the University of Hartford in Hartford CT and continued his postgraduate studies in classical academic art from some of the finest instructors in America and Abroad both in person and live-stream.
In 2012, Cooley opened his art studio, Cooley Studios where he creates medical illustration for the medical scientific and legal community and accepts classical realistic oil portrait commissions. In 2013, he began offering art training to student artist’s seeking academic art study. Some of his students have gone on to full-time professional careers fine artists concentrating in areas such as social advocacy, pet portraits, scenic art, wild life art, still life art, landscape, opera murals, ballet dancers, cow portraits, human portraits and children’s book illustrator.
